Job summary

Spherion Staffing and Recruiting NE Georgia is seeking a Financial Accounting & Reporting Lead to ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closes in accordance with GAAP. You will manage day-to-day accounts, prepare reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger while coordinating with banks, auditors, and tax authorities.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least five years of experience, plus proficiency with current financial software.

Job description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities.

Financial Accounting & Reporting Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Prepare, review, and approve reconciliations for: Bank accounts General ledger accounts Sub-ledgers Intercompany accounts Suspense accounts Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts. Prepare monthly financial statements, including: Balance Sheet Profit & Loss Statement Cash Flow Statement Budget vs. Actual Reports KPI Dashboards Executive Financial Reports Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations to executive leadership.
