Your role as an experienced financial controller is to manage and improve our organization’s financial performance and direct our accounting operations. You will oversee the financial team while ensuring the continued accuracy of financial records and reports. You will leverage your experience in evaluating, and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, and coordinating auditing processes. Your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as a financial controller will aid our organization in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organizational targets, and developing financial plans that support organizational strategy.

What You’ll Do:

• Direct and supervise the Accounting Team while our policies and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Preparation and review of period end financial statements.
• Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts and projections to effectively manage cash balances.
• Perform analytical reviews of the monthly operating results to ensure the reasonability and accuracy of reports.
• Direct the transactional processing of financial processes.
• Book required journal entries to post period activity such as Payroll, Work Comp (if reporting) and Inventory.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budget and periodic forecasts.
• Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
• Coordinate the preparation of audits and tax returns with outside CPA firm.
• Assist in maintaining all corporate records and accounts.
• Maintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
• Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
• Participate and promote sustainability through use tools, education, and training to increase awareness among staff members, vendors, and the community
• Other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. Master’s Preferred.
• 5+ of accounting or related experience with one or more years in a supervisory capacity.
• Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Familiarity of state regulations.
• Software Experience:
