Position Summary: This position provides analytical support for the financial positioning and future growth of the assigned area/region. The role leads in the development, analysis, and preparation of financial plans, reporting and key performance indicators to achieve overall system and entity strategic goals and objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the administration of the Hospitalist and Intensivist Compensation Plan Summaries.
  • Responsible for physician compensation and shift reporting (biweekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annually).
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders including Legal, Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Operations, Corporate Compliance, and other partners.
  • Setup provider demographics, plan summaries, and compensation in the new Simpliphy provider compensation software.
  • Maintain current manual provider compensation and shift reports to reconcile against Simpliphy balances.
  • Act as a resource for physicians and medical group management regarding provider productivity, physician compensation, and other physician related needs pertaining to the Hospitalist and Intensivist specialties.
  • Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple projects using sophisticated software programs.
Core Functions
  • Provide high-level financial expertise through analysis and interpretation of data to support decision making. Develop financial proformas and assist in the preparation and presentation of business plans.
  • Lead key financial processes within the assigned area such as operating budgets, forecasting, program reporting and analysis, charge management, cost accounting, decision support, contracting and reimbursement analysis.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance within the assigned business unit(s); coordinate and educate internal customers on compliance requirements.
  • Initiate and direct the identification and implementation of operating improvements and efficiencies based on review of management reports and financial analysis.
  • Implement and guide processes to change based on data; provide strategic financial guidance.
  • Provide direction for implementation and support of financial system software to enhance current and future functionality.
  • Develop and present ongoing financial indicators and education programs based on needs of assigned business unit(s).
  • Prepare accurate and timely management and regulatory reports by accessing information from multiple sources and using consistent reporting formats.
  • Provide support for multiple facilities within Banner; regional accountability.
  • Work on complex analytical problems; exercise judgment within defined policies; interact with regulatory agencies and other departments to ensure accurate reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA).
  • Experience in healthcare financial management.
  • Advanced analytical and modeling skills.
