Job summary

Legislative Audit Division in Helena, MT is seeking a Financial Compliance Audit Intern for Summer 2027. You will interview personnel, test controls and account balances, and use analytics to evaluate transaction cycles.

This internship pays $25 per hour with a 40-hour work week, optional telework up to half-time, and flexible hours between 6 am and 6 pm. Successful candidates are working toward a bachelor’s degree and have accounting coursework.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Has completed or enrolled to complete by year end 6 semester hours of accounting coursework.
• Demonstrates analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Has sound written and verbal communication skills.
• Has the ability to work well independently and within a team setting.
