The ideal candidate has extensive JD Edwards experience, strong stakeholder relationships, and an independent work style with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/IS/Business Administration or related field; equivalent work experience considered.
• Minimum of 4 years as ERP Business Systems Analyst or similar supporting JD Edwards applications.
• In-depth JD Edwards knowledge, specifically in accounting/finance; experience with other JD Edwards modules a plus.
• Proficiency in JD Edwards configuration and integration with other systems; development tools experience a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to design effective solutions.
• Proven project management experience with planning, execution, and monitoring.
• Ability to build relationships across Finance, Accounting, Leadership and external vendors.
• Independent work ethic with high organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects.
• Travel up to 10% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from stakeholders, document needs, and prioritize enhancements; communicate to development teams.
• Develop understanding of financial processes: general ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, cost accounting, reporting.
• Drive system utilization to improve decision-making and deliver measurable value via KPIs.
• Design solutions leveraging JD Edwards capabilities to align with business objectives.
• Provide end-user training and support for JD Edwards tools and features; drive adoption.
• Lead JD Edwards projects within budget and timelines; provide weekly progress updates.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
• Maintain documentation of business processes and user guides within the system.
• Oversee data integrity and standardization within JD Edwards; manage data cleansing.
• Stay updated on JD Edwards releases and share best practices across teams.
• Ensure JD Edwards implementations comply with regulatory controls and security policies.
• Collaborate as a global team member between GIS, Finance, and Accounting.

What You Will Do

The Financial Business Systems Analyst will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our Enterprise Resource Planning platform, JD Edwards, to meet the evolving needs of the business. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement changes to enhance business processes and drive efficiency, with a focus on accounting and finance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with JD Edwards, strong relationship-building and listening skills, an ability to work independently, a deep understanding of strategic business directives, and a high attention to detail to ensure quality of delivery.

Responsibilities

• Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand, influence, document, and prioritize business needs, including test cases, exceptions, and acceptance criteria for enhancements and new features. Communicate detailed requirements to development teams for implementation. Create process maps when necessary to help stakeholders and developers visualize as-is and to-be processes.
• Business Process Understanding: Develop a strong understanding of existing financial processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cost accounting, financial reporting, and day-to-day financial activities.
• Business Change Agent: Drive system utilization to enable improved decision-making, create business process efficiencies, and deliver sustainable and measurable business value through KPIs and regular business reviews.
• Solution Design: Understand JD Edwards platform capabilities and collaborate with the ERP development team to propose solutions that align with business objectives and improve efficiency.
• User Support: Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they are proficient in using JD Edwards tools and features. Drive adoption activities. Communicate system improvements, automations, and features as released.
• Project Management: Lead and manage JD Edwards projects, ensuring adherence to budget, project timelines, and quality standards. Serve as the primary project communicator, ensuring weekly progress updates during projects and tracking of key milestones with champions and stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance system performance.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes within the system and user guides.
• Data Management: Oversee data integrity and quality within the JD Edwards platform, including data cleansing activities and data standardization (naming conventions, data types, data definitions).
• Platform Awareness: Stay up to date on new releases by JD Edwards and identify opportunities to apply new features where appropriate. Network with other JD Edwards users and similar companies to identify and implement best practices.
• Compliance: Ensure that JD Edwards implementations comply with relevant regulatory certifications where applicable, including financial controls and audit requirements. Drive security requirements and ensure compliance with security policies. Ensure standard IS practices are met including service request tracking, change management, and outage tracking.
• Global Team Contributor: Contribute as a global team member of the Accounting/Finance team, acting as a subject matter expert for accounting and finance processes and applications. Serve as the liaison between Global Information Systems (GIS), Finance, Accounting, and other internal customers as needed.
• Business Value: Build system capabilities to drive business value focused on key operational pillars: Enable External Growth, Drive Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty, and Improve Team Efficiency.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as an ERP Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role supporting JD Edwards applications.
• JD Edwards Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the JD Edwards platform, specifically in accounting or finance Experience with other JD Edwards modules is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in JD Edwards configuration, and integration with other systems. Experience with JD Edwards development tools is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and design effective solutions.
• Project Management: Proven experience in managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment and communicate effectively with team members across the globe.
