Compass Group USA seeks a seasoned Business Analyst focused on Accounting and Finance to join the S/4HANA Transformation Program in the Customer to Cash track. You will bridge business Stakeholders and the delivery team to define and support key features aligned with Compass Group’s goals.

This hybrid role in Charlotte requires collaboration across finance, product management, and IT, translating accounting needs into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years as a Business Analyst or Financial Analyst supporting large ERP implementations (SAP S/4HANA or ECC).
• Strong accounting acumen: accruals, journal entries, financial reporting in ERP.
• Familiarity with FI, SD, AR in SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with SAFe Agile and Azure DevOps for tracking work.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document C2C business processes.
• Translate needs into Epics, Features, and User Stories with acceptance criteria.
• Support SAFe Agile, and refine Epics, Features, and Stories with teams.
• Validate journal postings and reconciliations against accounting expectations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and driven Business Analyst with a focus in Accounting and Finance to join our S/4HANA Transformation Program within the Customer to Cash (C2C) track. This position will work directly with the Product Management team. The Business Analyst will act as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and the project delivery team to define, document, and support the delivery of key features in alignment with Compass Group’s business goals.

*Please note, this is a hybrid position in Charlotte. The typical days in office are Tues-Thursday but can vary dependent on business need.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document current and future state business processes in the Customer to Cash domain (e.g., customer master, point of sale information, order management, billing, receivables, subsidies).
• Support the Product Manager and broader Product Management team in creating and refining Epics, Features, and Stories aligned with the SAFe Agile Framework.
• Translate business needs including accounting and financial requirements into clear, concise, and actionable Features and User Stories (as needed) with acceptance criteria.
• Understanding of how financial master data aligns with business processes
• Validate system outputs (e.g., journal postings, reconciliations) against accounting expectations
• Support the product teams’ testing efforts by suggesting test cases that reflect real-world accounting scenarios
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops and discovery sessions with business and technical teams and document outcomes.
• Assist in defining the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and product increments for the C2C track.
• Ensure alignment of proposed solutions with Compass Group's strategic goals, existing systems that are end of life, and SAP S/4HANA capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with Functional and Technical leads to ensure that solutions are feasible and fit for purpose.
• Provide ongoing support to the C2C product teams throughout the development lifecycle, including testing and business validation.
• Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies and elevate them as appropriate.
• Support change management and post-go-live user feedback collection and analysis.
• Serve as a liaison between the Product Management layer and Product teams in order to ensure features and requirements are clearly understood and executed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Financial Analyst supporting large-scale ERP implementations, ideally with SAP S/4HANA or ECC.
• Strong accounting acumen with hands-on experience applying core principles such as accruals, journal entries, and financial reporting within an ERP environment.
• Familiarity with interdependencies across financial and operational modules (e.g., FI, SD, AR) in SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience working with finance and accounting stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements across complex processes.
• Demonstrated experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA, specifically in Customer to Cash process area, including order management, billing, and accounts receivable
• Strong familiarity with the SAFe Agile Framework, including working in Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
• Experience writing user stories, features, and acceptance criteria within tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate technical and process information effectively to business and IT stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Experience with Compass Group or similar industries (food service, hospitality, contract services) is a plus.

Preferred

• SAFe certifications (e.g., SAFe Agilist, SAFe PO/PM) are a plus.
• Prior experience in large-scale S/4HANA transformation programs.
