Job summary

Kavaliro is seeking a Financial Benefits Analyst to support all aspects of financial analysis related to clients’ group benefit programs in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

You will work closely with the financial support team to provide benefit illustrations, cost projections, and client utilization reports, in collaboration with Account Managers and Benefits Consultants. 3+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree are required; strong Excel and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis or related field
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Math, Accounting, or related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and especially Excel
• Healthcare industry experience in group insurance, broker, or consultant preferred

Responsibilities

• Drafts and reviews accurate exhibits for quarterly and annual client meetings
• May assist the Benefit Consultant with carrier negotiation process
• Mentors junior team members
• Drafts and reviews client utilization reports using carrier reporting methods
• Analyzes data and identifies opportunities for plan design and product changes
• Drafts and reviews monthly reporting deliverables for clients
• Drafts and reviews cost projections for benefit plan offerings
• Analyzes industry benchmarks and drafts information for client competitiveness

Financial Benefits Consultant supports all aspects of financial analysis related to clients' group benefit programs.

The Financial Benefits Analyst works closely and collaboratively with other members of the financial support team to provide support to Account Manager(s) and Benefits Consultant(s). Deliverables will include benefit and financial illustrations that allows clients to properly evaluate their benefit plans.

Pay: $100,000-120,000 annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Drafts and reviews accurate exhibits for quarterly and annual client meetings
• May assist the Benefit Consultant with carrier negotiation process
• Mentors junior team members
• Drafts and reviews client utilization reports using various carrier reporting methods
• Analyzes data and identifies opportunities for plan design and product changes, based upon observed utilization patterns
• Drafts and reviews monthly reporting deliverables for clients.
• Drafts and reviews cost projections for benefit plan offerings.
• Analyzes industry benchmarks and drafts information for the client to show their competitiveness in the industry.
• Develops and maintains strong working relationships with carrier partners
• Maintains accurate, current, organized, and complete market information in internal databases
• Assists team and clients as necessary with special projects

Education, Training and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience
• Bachelor's degree, required; Business, Finance, Math, Accounting, or related field, preferred
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, required
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, required
• Experience in the healthcare industry working for a group insurance carrier, broker or consultant, preferred
• Knowledge of group insurance including medical, dental, CDHP, pharmacy, life and disability products, strongly preferred
• Experience with database applications, a plus
