Arizona Auditor General invites you to join as a Financial Audit Intern in Phoenix. The role supports our team with audits, helping prepare financial statements and compliance work. Salary is $20 per hour and there is potential eligibility for college credit.

Flexible hours (15–40 per week) accommodate your school schedule. You will learn and apply auditing standards such as GAAS, US GAO, and other federal requirements while developing communication and interpersonal skills in a public-service

Qualifications

• Be in your junior or senior year of an accounting bachelor’s degree or be in a master’s degree program.
• Interest in public service and improving State government.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Help conduct financial statement and compliance audits.
• Learn and apply the AICPA’s generally accepted auditing standards, U.S. Government Auditing Standards, and other federal auditing requirements to our auditees.
