Financial Analyst Supervisor Position Overview:
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is seeking an experienced financial professional to lead and oversee fiscal operations supporting our Division of Disability Determinations (DDD) and Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) programs.
As a Financial Analyst Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring the timely and efficient processing of financial transactions, oversee the addition of new vendor information, and ensure information is entered accurately for 1099 reporting. You will supervise and direct a team responsible for processing, recording, analyzing, verifying, and summarizing financial transactions.
This leadership role involves determining work priorities, monitoring workflow, assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance and training on fiscal procedures and policies, and evaluating staff performance. Additionally, you will oversee the processing of payments for medical records, exams, laboratory tests, transportation expenses, and ensure accurate posting of payment card transactions and agency payments in the VR case management system.
To succeed, strong supervisory and financial management skills are required, along with a solid understanding of analysis, accounting principles, employee development, and business operations. You will act as a liaison with agency teams, vendors, participants, and government offices, addressing inquiries, resolving billing and authorization issues, and recommending improvements to fiscal policies and procedures.

Division of Fiscal Management
The Division oversees the agency's financial resources, including budget planning, revenue forecasting, expenditure monitoring, and financial reporting, ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the use of public funds. It also identifies opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation, and supports long-term financial planning to align with the agency's mission.
Pay Information
The starting salary is at step 1, subject to law or union contract requirements. New hires advance to the next step after 6 months and annually thereafter, with annual cost of living increases and longevity supplements after 5 years. The current wage progression is as follows:
Location Requirements
Employees must reside within a reasonable response time to in-office locations, with an increasing shift toward 5 days per week in-office presence. Daytime travel within Ohio may be required, and candidates must have own transportation or a valid driver’s license to operate a state vehicle.
