Phoenix Tailings in the United States is seeking a Financial Analyst with a strong accounting foundation to support scalable financial processes in a dynamic startup. You will build robust financial models, conduct scenario analysis, and provide insights to executives and investors, influencing capital allocation and strategy.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, expertise in Excel, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
5+ years in financial analysis and modeling, preferably in manufacturing, mining, or technology-driven industries.
Expertise in building financial models from scratch using Excel or similar tools.
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and economic concepts.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Build comprehensive financial models from the ground up to evaluate business opportunities, assess financial viability, and support strategic planning.
Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to inform decision-making and assess potential risks.
Incorporate economic factors, market trends, and industry dynamics into financial models to enhance accuracy and relevance.
Develop and manage financial forecasts, including revenue growth, profitability, and cash flow projections.
Support the creation and refinement of long-term financial plans and capital allocation strategies.
Collaborate with business units to translate operational plans into detailed financial projections.
Provide insights into economic trends and their implications on company performance.
Analyze KPIs and present findings to senior leadership.
Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and recommend actionable strategies.
Prepare clear and concise presentations and reports to communicate financial data, insights, and recommendations to senior management and investors.
Ensure financial data integrity and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
