Job summary

Eisenhower Health in Alabama is seeking a Finance-Corporate Financial Analyst responsible for evaluating and reporting on the financial performance of assigned departments through the annual budget process, variance analysis, and reporting. Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and improve weekly/monthly financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Assist in month-end close process: data, journal entries, reconciliations, statements.
• Manage accounts receivable review and department-level budget processes.
• Prepare annual operating budgets for assigned departments with variance analysis.
• Load and reconcile data in budgeting/financial reporting systems.
• Act as liaison for budget preparation and analysis with appropriate departments.
• Create reports, analyze data, and respond to leadership inquiries.
• Research and analyze data for monthly variance reports as assigned.
• Model reports and distribute director performance monitoring data.
• Support due diligence on proposed ventures as needed.
• Oversight of cost accounting systems setup and analytics.
• Provide assistance to peers, consultants and auditors as needed.
• Coordinate system implementations and act as point-person for issues.
• Maintain Trackit database and serve as Database Administrator if applicable.
• Close-out and reconcile program grants internally and externally if applicable.
• Ensure compliance with Code of Conduct and internal controls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. 1. Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
2. 2. Responsible for developing, coordinating and continually improving assigned areas of the weekly/monthly statistical and financial reporting, customarily exercising discretion while working independently.
3. 3. Responsible for the month-end close process, including data collection, journal entries, account analysis, reconciliation and financial statement preparation, if applicable.
4. 4. Reconciles balance sheet accounts and other specified general ledger accounts on a monthly basis, if applicable.
5. 5. Oversees the review and management of Accounts Receivable, if applicable.
6. 6. Responsible for the preparation of the annual operating budget for assigned department, including analyzing variances to actual and determining and ensuring reasonableness by department, service line, and division, using independent judgment and discretion, if applicable.
7. 7. Performs loading and reconciliation of data within appropriate budgeting system/financial reporting system.
8. 8. Acts as central contact and source of information and support for appropriate departments with regard to budget preparation and analysis, if applicable.
9. 9. Responsible for creating reports, analyzing data, and providing conclusions in response to ad hoc inquiries from leadership, if applicable.
10. 10. Responsible for researching and analyzing data for, and writing portions of, the monthly variance reports as assigned.
11. 11. Manages report modeling, generation and distribution of department director performance monitoring and tracking reports, if applicable.
12. 12. Assists in performing Due Diligence on proposed ventures on an ad hoc basis.
13. 13. Provides general oversight of cost accounting system including set-up, maintenance, and on-going analytics.
14. 14. Provides assistance to peers, consultants, auditors, etc., as needed.
15. 15. Acts as liaison for system implementations, report modeling and as point-person for general issues that arise, if applicable.
16. 16. Maintains the Program Tracking System (Trackit) and functions as the Database Administrator, if applicable.
17. 17. Responsible for internal and external close-out and reconciliation of program grants, if applicable.
