Amazon seeks a Financial Analyst to support the Reverse Logistics finance team, interfacing with executives and product lines. You will build models, forecast costs, and drive decision-making with rigorous analyses.

Regular collaboration across business and finance functions will be essential to deliver accurate reporting and strategic insight. You will own forecasting for returns and warranty, coordinate close processes, and contribute to a scalable financial reporting framework.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in tax, finance or analytical field.
  • 3+ years applying KPIs to analyses.
  • 3+ years identifying and driving improvements in finance tools and processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, CS, or math.
  • Experience with SQL for data mining and BI.
  • 3+ years dissecting financial data to support strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Build forecasting models for returned units and warranty expense across product lines.
  • Develop break-even models for end-of-repair decisions in Reverse Logistics.
  • Coordinate month-end and quarter-end close processes.
  • Prepare commentary and dashboards for Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Reviews.
  • Design scalable financial processes aligned with business growth.

Amazon seeks a Financial Analyst to be a key member in our Devices Finance Reverse Logistics team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Reverse Logistics business in a role where you will have regular interaction with executives and product lines across the organization.

Be the finance support for the Reverse Logistics Operations team which has grown from four product lines to newly acquired Amazon businesses. Partnering with the business leaders across product lines, you will work closely with business and finance teams to create financial models and repair cost forecasts to support Reverse Logistics Operations decision making.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills, data collection and modeling capabilities, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

The role also requires regular interaction with various business teams, providing reporting and business support for decision making and ability to influence decisions through logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives/scenarios.

Key job responsibilities
  • Build forecasting models for returned units and warranty expense across product lines.
  • Develop break-even models to support end-of-repair decision-making for the Reverse Logistics Operations team.

  • Build models and metrics, and prepare commentary for Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly Business Reviews.

  • Audit dashboard data regularly to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
  • 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
  • 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of Tableau
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer, or experience as a lean sensei
  • Six Sigma Black Belt
