We’re building a powerful care management platform that leverages AI and automation to scale meaningful, human-centered care. Our work is driven by top talent across clinical care, technology, product, and operations—working together to improve access and outcomes for all our patients.

We’re one of the largest Enhanced Care Management providers in California and are on track to build the nation’s largest clinically integrated network supporting high-need Medicaid members. Our model has demonstrated real impact, including a58% reduction in emergency department visitsand a29% reduction in hospital admissions.

At Pair Team, we’re not just delivering care—we’re building the future of a more equitable, community-rooted Medicaid system.

We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, particularly concerning revenue and cash flows. As the second member of the team, you will play a critical role in financial reporting, revenue forecasting, and collaborating cross-functionally to optimize our payer claims processes within a complex healthcare ecosystem. If you possess a keen financial mind, a genuine interest in healthcare, and thrive in dynamic, evolving environments, we encourage you to apply.

This is a fully remote position reporting up to the Senior Finance Manager.

What You'll Do
  • Revenue and Cash Reconciliation: Perform detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of revenue and cash receipts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly
  • Revenue Modeling & Forecasting: Develop and maintain robust revenue models, incorporating key drivers and assumptions, to support accurate financial forecasts and strategic planning
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze various financial reports, including revenue performance, cash flow statements, and key operational metrics, for internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Payer Relations & Claims Resolution: Work closely with healthcare payers to investigate and resolve complex claims issues, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with our engineering team to identify, troubleshoot, and implement solutions for bugs and inefficiencies within our claims processing systems
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance financial processes related to revenue recognition, cash management, and claims resolution
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, business decisions, and special projects
What You'll Need
  • 2+ years experience in Finance, or a related field, ideally with 1+ year(s) of experience working in a healthcare or healthtech organization.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modeling techniques.
  • An ownership mentality with an innate curiosity and drive to understand the why.
  • Ability to dissect complex information and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to all audiences.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, experience with financial software and/or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong desire to work in an early stage startup environment that is fast paced, complex, and has minimal barriers to make decisions (no “red tape”).
  • Passion for helping individuals experiencing complex chronic needs such as homelessness, severe mental illness, and substance use disorder.
  • Bonus points for experience with SQL or other data querying tool!
Our Values
  • Lead with integrity:We keep our commitments and take responsibility for our actions. We are dependable and choose authenticity over perfection.
  • Embrace challenges:We leave our egos at the door and step forward into discomfort instead of back into safety. We help each other to learn and provide feedback using candor and kindness.
  • Break through walls:We go the extra mile for our patients, partners and one another, and we run toward hard things. We are resilient in our push for consistent improvement and challenge the status quo.
  • Act beyond yourself:We build each other up and respect boundaries. We seek first to understand and assume positive intent.
  • Care comes first:We hold ourselves to the highest standards for our patients. We are relentless in the pursuit of our mission, and ensure that we are taking care of ourselves in order to care for others.
  • Competitive salary: $100,000 - $110,000(depending on experience)
  • Equity compensation package
  • Flexible vacation policy – take the time you need to recharge
  • $50 employer contribution to active HSA accounts
