Summary

The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

Essential Functions

1. Analysis of unbilled items for license and sales tax prepaid items over customer contract amount.
2. Accounts Payable processing for licensing, lawyer fees, broker fees, toll vendor refunds, etc.
3. Reconciliation and interpretation of business functions related to prepaid fees, licenses, taxes, and amortization schedules, liaising with Financial Reporting & HQ Finance.
4. Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures, and tools.
5. Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accurate financial projections.
6. Act as Licensing Team liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
7. Make accounting decisions on projects and system enhancements, maintain controls, and assist audits.
8. Support upper management with special projects, analysis, and process improvements.
9. Handle month-end closing activities, including journal entries and variance explanations.
10. Identify revenue, cost, and productivity improvement opportunities in operational initiatives.
11. Perform financial analysis and reporting, including performance trending, cost analysis, and reconciliation.
