Job summary

CoVantage Credit Union in Illinois is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its growing accounting team. You will produce and remit regulatory reports, support asset/liability and loss reserves analyses, and help prepare budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required or similar.
• Double-entry, accrual accounting experience required.
• Prior experience in financial institution accounting or operations preferred.
• Experience in data mining, analysis, and interpretation.
• Able to work independently with accuracy under moderate to severe time constraints.
• Must be bondable.

Responsibilities

• Produces and remits various regulatory reports in a timely manner.
• Provides relevant reports to committees for asset/liability and loss reserves.
• Prepares credit union financial and asset/liability reports.
• Implements enhancements, performs back testing, and supports third-party validations.
• Maintains investment accounting ledgers and reports.
• Participates in administrative and operational support for CU departments.
• Assists with budget preparation and forecasting.
• Advises on accounting matters related to policies such as Funds Management, Loss Allowance, and Investment policies.
