Job summary

Spherion Mid-Ohio, Richland County, OH, partners with a well-established company to hire a Financial Analyst for an in-person role. You will oversee daily financial operations, forecast project profitability, and contribute to contract negotiations and budgeting.

Key duties include coordinating with operations on costs, leading monthly projections, ensuring accurate estimates, overseeing billings, and using VISTA for accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or 2–3 years of equivalent work experience.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project operations to review financials before capital is committed.
• Schedule and oversee monthly projection meetings (MPSR).
• Ensure accurate cost estimates for all projects at the location.
• Lead weekly job cost reviews comparing actual vs projected costs.
• Oversee change management with project operations.
• Manage purchase orders and subcontract submissions to Purchasing.
• Ensure timely weekly and monthly billings to meet targets.
• Support Director of Finance with job cost reporting inquiries.
• Allocate expenses to the correct GL accounts for the location.
• Set up and close all new jobs accurately in the location.
• Analyze project risks and mitigate them.
• Assist in annual budget development.
• Utilize VISTA software for accounting and back-office management.
