Heartland Business Systems, a leading Midwest technology VAR, seeks a Financial Analyst to support profitability and P&L analysis, billing reviews, and sales vs. expense assessments. The role offers independent work with milestones and opportunities to shape financial processes.

You will develop models, prepare reports, and provide actionable insights to drive strategic initiatives in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficient Microsoft Suite skills.
• Maintain an outcome-focused mindset and strong prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Calculate monthly commission payments and maintain compensation models.
• Compile and distribute monthly Detailed Sales History and Expense Reporting.
• Prepare and analyze profitability for company segments and verticals.
• Develop data tools and modeling to improve reporting efficiency and value.
• Provide timely, actionable analysis and recommendations for company projects.
• Assist in day-to-day functions including general ledger impacts and month-end close.
