Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking a Financial Analyst to work on profitability, P&L analysis, billing reviews, and sales and expense analysis. The role involves building models, providing actionable insights, and supporting month-end close with minimal supervision.

The candidate should have 2+ years in accounting/finance, a bachelor’s degree, and strong Excel skills, with a professional and collaborative mindset. This position emphasizes accuracy and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficient Microsoft Suite Skills.

Responsibilities

• Calculate monthly commission payments through the development and maintenance of compensation models.
• Compile and distribute monthly reporting related to Detailed Sales History and Expense Reporting.
• Prepare and analyze profitability for various segments and verticals of the company.
• Develop data tools/modeling to improve and increase the efficiency and value of reporting.
• Provide timely, insightful, actionable, and accurate analysis to support company projects and initiatives.
• Assist in day-to-day functions including but not limited to identifying general ledger impacts and assisting in month end closing procedure(s).
• Perform other duties, as assigned.
