Job summary

Precise Systems is seeking a Financial Analyst, Journeyman to support DoD FMS financial activities at Patuxent River, Maryland. The role requires a BA/BS or equivalent with substitution options; 3–10 years of relevant DoD FMS experience; proficiency with Navy ERP, DSAMS, MISIL, and related systems.

A Secret clearance is required. The successful candidate will perform budgeting, funding execution, financial analyses, and document management to ensure accurate funding and reporting for FMS

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• Six (6) years’ additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Or: Associate’s Degree plus Four (4) years’ additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Three (3) to Ten (10) years of experience performing duties described in the functional description.

Responsibilities

• Provides FMS financial and/or accounting support to the FMS PM, DPM, BFM and other organizational support elements and activities.
• Performs managerial/cost accounting, budgeting, funding execution, manpower management, workload, acquisition, document management, system support, and financial analyses.
• Assists with development of appropriate acquisition documentation for FMS products and services.
• Utilizes Navy ERP to perform financial execution functions and MISIL to track commitments, obligations and expenditures for FMScase funds.
• Provides support to various management activities, corporate initiatives, special projects, and data calls.

We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst, Journeyman to support our customer in Patuxent River, Maryland location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides FMS financial and/or accounting support to the FMS PM, DPM, Business
  Financial Manager (BFM) and other organizational support elements and activities.
• Performs managerial/costaccounting, budgeting, funding execution, manpower management, workload, acquisition, document management,system support, and financial analyses to provide efficient allocation and effective utilization of financialresources, making recommendations for improving operations, systems, and reporting.
• Assists withdevelopment of appropriate acquisition documentation for FMS products and services.
• Utilizes Navy ERP toperform financial execution functions and MISIL to track all commitments, obligations and expenditures for FMScase funds.
• Provides support to a variety of management activities, corporate initiatives, special projects, anddata calls, which could have significant impact on the organization and its business operations.
• Analyze impacts ofbudget marks.

Required Education:

BA/BS degree

Allowable substitution:

Six (6) years’ additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree

Associate’s Degree plus Four (4) years’ additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree

Required Experience:

A Journeyman level person within a labor category has Three (3) to Ten (10) years of experience performing duties described in the functionaldescription.

Desired Experience:

• A minimum of four years professional experience demonstrated in DoD FMS financial
• management.
• In-depth understanding of FMS Case development, execution, reconciliation and closure, to includeP&As, LOAs, case implementing documents, financial systems, types of funding documents and various types ofprocurements.
• Experience in Navy ERP, DSAMS, MISIL, and other DoN financial automated accounting &budgeting systems.
• Knowledge of FMS financial policies and procedures

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $78,433.26 to $117,649.90 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems’ total compensation package.
