Job summary

Williams in Houston, TX is seeking a Financial Analyst III or Senior to support financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting. You will analyze actual vs forecasted results, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and drive insights for strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in financial analysis for Analyst III.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience for Sr.; CPA or PMP may be preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare reports, forecasts, presentations, and ad hoc analyses.
  • Gather forecast drivers: volume, EBITDA, capex, and key metrics.
  • Analyze and explain variances between forecasts and actuals.
  • Communicate results, assumptions, risks, and impacts to stakeholders.
  • Support evaluation and modeling of opportunities and investments.
  • Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Coordinate annual strategic planning and capital forecasting.
  • Lead projects and deliver leadership-ready presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Financial Analyst III or Senior, you will support financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, and analysis of actual and forecasted financial results. You will collaborate with business partners across the organization to understand financial drivers, evaluate opportunities, and provide insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. This role requires analytical thinking, sound judgment, creativity, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities & Expectations
  • Prepare reports, forecasts, presentations, and ad hoc financial analyses.
  • Gather, support, and understand financial forecast drivers, including volume profiles, EBITDA, capital expenditures, and other key metrics.
  • Perform financial analysis to validate forecast data and explain variances between forecasts and actual results.
  • Analyze and communicate financial results, assumptions, risks, and business impacts to stakeholders.
  • Support the evaluation and modeling of business opportunities, capital investments, expansions, and long-term commitments.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify, research, and recommend solutions, including process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Coordinate annual strategic planning, vision planning, operating plans, and capital forecasting activities.
  • Lead projects and prepare and deliver financial presentations and recommendations to leadership appropriate to experience level.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Financial Analyst III: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Minimum four (4) years of experience in financial analysis. Preferred: Master's degree and/or CPA.
  • Financial Analyst Sr.: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Minimum eight (8) years of progressive experience in financial analysis. Preferred: Ten (10) or more years of diverse financial experience and CPA or PMP certification.
Other Requirements
  • Experience analyzing and communicating financial results, forecasts, and business impacts.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with business partners across the organization.
  • Previous experience presenting financial analysis to leadership is preferred, with scope and complexity commensurate with level.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety as a core value.

*This position may be filled at either the Financial Analyst III or Financial Analyst Sr. level based on the selected candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
