Job summary

The Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) is seeking a Financial Analyst I to join the Financial Services team in Bryan, TX. The role supports projections, variance analysis, and reporting for service centers, general ledger, and external customers, with opportunities to leverage AI-assisted data analysis.

Hybrid work option available; the position requires coordination with multiple systems (FAMIS, Oracle, Maestro) and responsibilities across billing, reconciliations, and management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of related experience.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with large data sets.
• Preferred qualifications include a degree in Accounting and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Special Projects Analysis 40%: prepares projections, analyzes variances, summarizes findings and leverages data.
• Service Centers 30%: supports financial transactions and monthly billing processes using FAMIS, Oracle, and Maestro.
• General Ledger: enters journal entries, performs reconciliations, AFR workpaper support.
• External Customers 8%: supports external billings and contracts, liaises with stakeholders.
• Management Reporting 6%: fund balance verification and fluctuation analysis for leadership.
