Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 0–2 years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP and regulatory accounting knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficient with spreadsheets; Excel/Access/PowerPoint proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly financial statements on GAAP and statutory basis.
• Prepare quarterly and annual statutory financial statements.
• Prepare budget versus actual analysis monthly and review costs.
• Prepare regulatory agency reports as required.
• Assist internal and external audits with Controller/AVP Finance guidance.
• Ensure compliance with Managing General Agency contracts.
• Participate in special projects and compile reports timely.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers, management, clients and agents.
• Perform other duties as required.
