Job summary

Sonoco is hiring a Financial Analyst to support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in the U.S. manufacturing/packaging business. You will partner across sales, manufacturing and corporate finance to drive analyses, pro formas, cash flows and valuations for major expansions or divestitures.

The role covers financial close activities, SOX, and training for plant and sales personnel in accounting systems, with locations in Hartsville, SC or Charlotte, NC. A CPA/CMA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Four Year Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent.
• Preferred Certifications: CPA, CMA.
• Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Planning, Onestream, and EFI Radius.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key contributor to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes working cross functionally with the sales team, manufacturing team, and corporate finance.
• Conduct financial analyses and special project work for the division, including preparation of pro formas, discounted cash flows, ROI's and business valuations.
• Support the division level activities related to the financial close process.
• Assist with / coordinate Internal Audit and SOX requirements in the division.
• Develop and implement approaches and templates to improve financial reporting, forecasting, planning, and analytics.

Education
