Job summary

Sonoco, a global packaging leader, seeks a Financial Analyst to own budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. You will partner with sales, manufacturing, and corporate finance on analyses, pro formas, and value assessments for expansions and acquisitions.

The role offers progression with multiple salary bands and a strong total rewards package. The position can be located in Hartsville, SC or Charlotte, NC, and requires a four-year degree in accounting/finance/business with CPA/CMA

Qualifications

• Four-year undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent.
• Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Planning, Onestream, and EFI Radius.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Strong analytical, technical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key contributor to annual budgeting and forecasting with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct financial analyses, pro formas, DCFs, and ROI analyses for major initiatives.
• Support division-level close processes and internal control activities.
• Assist with Internal Audit and SOX requirements in the division.
• Develop templates to improve financial reporting, forecasting, planning and analytics.
• Undertake statistical analyses and industry research.
• Review capital projects for accuracy and compliance with policies.
• Assist training of manufacturing and sales personnel in Sonoco accounting systems.
