Sonoco Products Company is seeking a Financial Analyst to own annual planning, forecasting, financial reporting and analysis, reporting to the Director Commercial FP&A. The role supports long-range planning, special projects and process improvements.

Location can be Hartsville, SC or Charlotte, NC. Candidates should have a four-year degree in accounting/finance, CPA/CMA preferred, and experience with Oracle, Hyperion Planning and Onestream, with strength in cross-functional collaboration across

Qualifications

• Four year undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent.
• Preferred CPA or CMA certification.
• Experience in manufacturing settings and with Sonoco's business is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Attend annual budgeting and forecasting with sales, manufacturing and corporate finance.
• Prepare pro formas, discounted cash flows, ROI analyses for expansions/divestitures.
• Support division-level financial close activities.
• Assist Internal Audit and SOX compliance in the division.
• Develop templates to improve financial reporting, forecasting and analytics.
• Conduct statistical analyses and industry research.
• Review capital projects for accuracy of projections and policy compliance.
• Assist with training of new personnel in Sonoco accounting systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
