Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach seeks an experienced financial data analyst to produce and distribute regular reports from Financial and Decision Support systems, including physician statistics, readmission and mortality metrics, and budget data.

The role trains hospital staff on tools, validates data integrity, and supports management with budgeting and variance analysis. Strong Excel and healthcare finance knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Produces and distributes regular reports from Financial and Decision Support systems, including physician statistics, readmission rates, mortality stats, and budget-related data.
• Performs data integrity checks and reconciliations across financial reports and budgets.
• Educates hospital staff on Financial and Decision Support tools and data usage.
• Interprets data accurately and communicates findings clearly to management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a matrix-managed environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of healthcare finance concepts, payer data, and budgeting processes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Produces and distributes regular reports from the Financial and Decision Support systems, including physician statistics, readmission rates, mortality stats, losses, costs, market shares, and various ad hoc reports.
• Maintains and sets up users and departments in Visionware, manages data interfaces and validations.
• Updates budget templates and produces budget reports for presentation to management.
• Assists with General Ledger questions related to budget variances and collaborates with Financial Planning and Accounting staff to resolve data issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Produces and distributes regular reports from the Financial and Decision Support systems, including physician statistics, readmission rates, mortality stats, losses, costs, market shares, and various ad hoc reports. Performs integrity checks and reconciliations on data from the Financial and Decision Support systems. Attains expert knowledge of the Financial and Decision Support systems, including maintenance, data download routines, report writing/query procedures, and data elements. Educates and trains hospital staff on the use of Financial and Decision Support information and tools. Applies mathematical analysis to determine the validity and reliability of statistical data. Reviews and calculates standards/target hours for departments based on budget information. Maintains and sets up users and departments in the Visionware system, performing daily/bi-weekly data interfaces and validations. Prepares and distributes statistical reports, including labor-related and supply-related reports, to assist management in decision-making. Updates budget templates, produces budget reports, and reconciles budget data for presentation. Assists with General Ledger questions related to budget variances and works closely with Financial Planning and Accounting staff to resolve data design problems. Other duties as assigned.
