Job summary

Georgia Tech in Atlanta seeks a Financial Analyst (Intermediate Professional) to develop and compile financial data, conduct analyses, reconciliations and projections in support of departments. This full-time role prepares a full range of financial reports, including cost studies and budget modeling.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance and three to four years of related experience; MBA and professional certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Familiarity with applicable state and federal laws and regulations regarding commercial contracts
• Three to four years of job related experience
• Professional certification in accounting or financial analysis; MBA preferred
• Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles and forecasting techniques; use of specialized software; communications and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Determine, develop and organize data required for assignments.
• Perform required data entry, calculations, estimates, reconciliations, etc.
• Prepare reports including charts, graphs, schedules, etc. that effectively present assignment results.
• Provide explanations of methodology employed as required.
• Remain current on financial reporting requirements, applicable regulations, processes, etc.
• May provide work direction to lower level financial personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field

Three to four years of job related experience

Master's of Business Administration (MBA)

Professional certification in accounting or financial analysis
