Job summary

A leading private equity firm is seeking a mid-senior level professional to join their Finance Team in Boston. Responsibilities include preparing critical financial documentation, managing capital calls, and supporting investor relations. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, ideally hold a CPA, and have 2–4 years of public accounting experience. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and proficiency in Excel are required. This is a full-time, on-site position with no travel required.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in public accounting, preferably with exposure to fund audits.
  • CPA or CPA‑eligible preferred.
  • Familiarity with ASC 946 and ASC 820 is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accounting, reporting, and compliance documentation for selected funds.
  • Manage capital calls, distributions, and partners’ capital statements.
  • Support investor relations and aid external auditors.

Job description

As a vital member of the Finance Team, you will handle various responsibilities related to a portfolio of private equity funds.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing all accounting, reporting, and compliance documentation for a select group of funds.
  • Managing the preparation of capital calls, distributions, and partners’ capital statements.
  • Supporting investor relations and administrative functions for these funds.
  • Liaising with external auditors to manage year‑end financials and providing specified tax financial support.
  • Compiling and preparing Limited Partner presentation materials.
  • Monitoring and reconciling cash and investments with financial institutions.
  • Streamlining finance processes and collaborating with the team on ad‑hoc projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (or equivalent experience); CPA or CPA‑eligible preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in public accounting (preferably Big 4 or a top‑tier firm) with exposure to asset management/fund audits preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with familiarity in ASC 946 (investment companies) and ASC 820 (fair value).
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions.
  • Experience with fund/accounting software system.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and methodical under tight deadlines; capable of both autonomous work and teamwork.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, receptive to feedback; possesses a curious, reliable, and ownership‑oriented mindset.
  • Consistently demonstrates tact and discretion in all interactions.

Location: Boston office (on‑site), no travel required.
