THE ROLE:
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will assist in compiling and aggregating key metrics that will help assess the health of the business and inform critical decisions. This role requires a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments at all levels. The ideal candidate will excel at synthesizing complex datasets and be comfortable moving between qualitative and quantitative analysis. This position is based in Austin, TX, and has a hybrid work schedule. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Finance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational reports that will be distributed to senior executives and external stakeholders
Assist in ad hoc analysis to assess the viability of new business and investment opportunities
Maintain reporting on both financial and operational metrics to monitor our company performance and inform future decisions
Work with subject matter experts to develop and refine forecasting methodologies for specific areas of spend
Build trusted relationships and work collaboratively with cross-departmental leaders and team members
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Zero to four years of professional experience in Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or a comparable analytical role, with a preference for experience in reporting and analysis
Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and forecasting methodologies
Fundamental understanding of accounting data structures and the ability to interpret financial statements
Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets; Experience with enterprise data and ERP reporting systems is advantageous
Exceptional communication abilities, with the capacity to present complex financial information to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
Ability to synthesize intricate situations into simplified versions that are comprehensible to a wide audience
Comfortable working with diverse data sources to extract valuable insights
Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
