Job summary

Cabrera Capital Markets is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Controller in accounting, reconciliation, analysis, and process improvement. The role emphasizes building and debugging data-processing programs, maintaining reconciliations, and developing schedules with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery.

The candidate should have at least one year of finance experience, strong Excel skills, Python/VBA programming, and familiarity with Oracle.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of finance experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Programming experience (Python, VBA).
• Broker Dealer experience highly preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Oracle preferred).
• Detail- and deadline-oriented with excellent time management skills.
• Experience using project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) for task tracking and collaboration.
• Ability to multi-task projects.

Responsibilities

• Write and debug programs for processing trading data daily and monthly.
• Maintain bank account reconciliations and implement process improvements.
• Support the creation and maintenance of accounting schedules (depreciation, leases, prepaids, etc.).
• Manage usage of programs and assist with resolving errors.
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of connections with external platforms.
• Leverage AI and other technology tools to develop and maintain accounting processes.
• Reconcile firm credit card activity.
• Reconcile monthly general ledger accounts.
• Maintain daily and monthly account reconciliations.
• All other duties as assigned.
