This role is responsible for analyzing purchasing contracts, identifying pricing discrepancies, and supporting the recovery of supplier overpayments. The ideal candidate brings advanced Excel proficiency, strong analytical capabilities, and experience within the automotive industry.

Job Duties

• Analyze purchasing contracts and financial reports to identify pricing discrepancies, overpayments, and cost-saving opportunities
• Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting contract errors, financial risks, and recommended corrective actions
• Review audit findings with purchasing teams and key stakeholders to validate discrepancies and resolve issues
• Support supplier negotiations and recovery efforts related to identified overpayments
• Manage open audit cases through resolution while meeting established performance metrics for case aging, audit activity, and cost recovery
• Conduct financial analyses and special studies to support purchasing and operational initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve audit processes, reporting accuracy, and financial risk mitigation
• Support special projects, process documentation, and training initiatives

Skills & Experience

Required:

• 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, auditing, contract analysis, or a related discipline
• Professional experience within the automotive industry
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and conditional formulas
• Hands-on experience analyzing large datasets, financial reports, and reporting discrepancies
• Experience reviewing purchasing contracts, pricing structures, or supplier-related financial data
• Strong mathematical and quantitative analysis capabilities, including variance analysis and financial reconciliation
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• Experience with supplier overpayment recovery, contract compliance, or purchasing audits
• Knowledge of automotive purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations
• Experience tracking audit KPIs, case aging, and financial recoveries
• Experience developing financial reports, audit documentation, and process improvement recommendations
• Familiarity with supplier pricing analysis, cost recovery methodologies, and financial risk assessment
