Job summary

TALENT Software Services in Palo Alto seeks an accounting professional to review and process transactions, prepare journals, and ensure accuracy across financial data. This role supports budgeting and forecasting and contributes to management reporting.

You will utilize Excel, GAAP knowledge, and cross-system data to analyze financial information, work independently, and collaborate with a team to meet deadlines and deliver reliable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and MS Office proficiency.

• Prepare and submit journals.
• Identify and resolve incorrect journal entries, data anomalies, deviations from established procedures, and unusual issues
• Run, maintain, reconcile, review, combine, analyze and validate financial data sets, utilizing financial reports, financial databases, and key financial information often from multiple systems. Assist in the preparation of basic management information reports.
• Provide support to budgeting and forecasting

What we are looking for:

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Advanced proficiency in business applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, including advanced formula use.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial systems and aptitude to learn new systems
• Strong verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently and as a team player
• Proven ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines and ability to effectively multitask.
• Strong project management skills and ability to contribute to or lead part of a multifunctional team.

Preferred but not required:

• Proficiency with Oracle systems in general
• Proficiency with Adaptive Planning
