Job summary

CFS is seeking a Cost Analyst to act as a financial partner to plant leadership in Millersburg, OH. You will analyze manufacturing metrics, perform costing and variance analyses, and support budgeting and forecasting to drive cost improvements.

This on-site role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, manufacturing experience, and strong Excel/ERP skills. You will collaborate across operations and leadership to influence decisions and optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills for financial modeling.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, MS Dynamics, Plex).

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing metrics: labor efficiency, material costs, scrap, inventory, overhead, throughput, freight, and cost per unit.
• Perform standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, product costing, and ROI/business case evaluations.
• Investigate operational and financial trends to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and support month-end close activities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, capital analysis, reporting, dashboards, and performance modeling; support cost reduction initiatives.
