Working in a team environment, the Financial Analyst supports the City's financial planning, capital project funding, and investment activities. This role is responsible for developing, analyzing, and monitoring the City's Capital Budget, ensuring alignment with funding sources and long-term financial objectives. The position also manages the City's investment portfolio in compliance with the Public Funds Investment Act (PFIA).
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. One to three years of experience in a similar position in a municipal or other governmental finance department preferred. Computer system experience required.
Analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills required. Municipal Accounting experience and budget preparation experience highly desirable. Possession of a valid class "C" Texas driver's license required.
