Job summary

firstPRO, Inc., a growing South Jersey manufacturer, seeks a Financial Analyst to partner with leadership across finance, operations, engineering, supply chain, and sales. You’ll help drive profitability, improve reporting, and influence key business decisions within one organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting with manufacturing clients or in financial analysis.
  • Experience serving manufacturing clients in public accounting is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, variance analysis, and business performance reporting.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environments, inventory, or cost accounting is a significant plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze large data sets.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; Microsoft Business Central experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to operational leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting, and long-range financial planning.
  • Analyze operating results and explain key variances to management.
  • Build financial models, dashboards, and reporting packages that provide actionable business insights.
  • Evaluate product costs, gross margins, and profitability across product lines, customers, and manufacturing facilities.
  • Analyze labor, material, overhead, scrap, and production variances to identify operational improvement opportunities.
  • Review BOMs and manufacturing data to ensure accurate standard costing.
  • Perform pricing, margin, and inventory analyses that directly impact business performance.
  • Develop ROI analyses for capital investments and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, and Sales to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial performance.
  • Help enhance reporting, automate processes, and improve data visibility across the organization.
