Job summary

KASCO is seeking a Finance professional to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting across manufacturing operations and field service. This onsite role reports to the CFO at our St. Louis, MO headquarters.

You will prepare statements, perform variance analyses, and develop dashboards to inform leadership decisions, while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting/financial reporting.
• Strong GAAP and SOX knowledge/experience.
• Organized, systematic, and able to develop strategic plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated; able to work with limited direction and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and variance reports.
• Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Identify trends, discrepancies, and cost-saving opportunities.

Our cutting edge products include band saw blades, meat grinder plates and knives, and cutlery. We also offer a vast range of butcher supplies, seasonings, replacement parts, and repair services to grocers, restaurants, and meat, seafood, deli and bakery departments.

Overview

In this role, you will support our financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions across our manufacturing operations and field service technicians. You will play a key role in helping management make informed business decisions through accurate financial data and insights. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and is located onsite at our St. Louis, MO headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and variance reports
• Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts
• Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings
• Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate financial metrics to leadership

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in developing annual budgets for manufacturing operations and field services
• Maintain and update financial forecasts based on operational activity
• Analyze budget variances and provide explanations and recommendations

Operational Finance Support

• Track and reconcile manufacturing costs, labor expenses, and field service billing
• Monitor project profitability and job costing accuracy
• Support inventory valuation and cost accounting processes
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable reconciliation

General Accounting Support

• Process and verify transactions and journal entries
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Support audit preparation and external reporting
• Maintain financial documentation and records

Data Management

• Maintain financial databases and spreadsheets
• Ensure accuracy of data input and reporting
• Assist with implementation of accounting software upgrades

Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, & Skills

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent experience
