Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monitors cash receipts and payment obligations to assess applicable borrowings.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the quarterly debt covenant compliance package.
  • Assists Manager in the administration of Non-Employee Directors Stock Plan and Employee Stock Incentive Plan.
  • Provides insightful analyses on trended forecast of debt equity ratio.
  • Updates and modifies, when appropriate, the Company’s cash flow forecasting model.
  • Supports the Manager in the annual proxy preparation.
  • Supports the Manager in the preparation of Investor presentation on both private and public debt issuance.
  • Prepares, maintains, analyzes, and publishes financial and key matrixes reports.
  • Responsible for the data compilation on the quarterly audit requests.
  • Updates Sarbanes-Oxley document and ensures control compliance; cooperates with internal and external auditors with information requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Under the direction of the Finance Services & Treasury Manager., the Financial Analyst conducts general analysis of various financial reports for managing the Company’s financial activity, forecasting future financial risks and opportunities, and creating strategies to maximize efficiency. Key to this position include the ability to manage and monitor cash flow, researching and analyzing financial reports to ensure debt covenant compliance, maintaining the desired debt equity ratio at the utility segments, taking initiative and ownership of the tasks assigned, and a well-rounded background in accounting and finance.

As a skilled employee and responsible professional, the incumbent must work independently, exercise initiative and judgment in the performance of a broad range of administrative support responsibilities in an environment of routinely sensitive and confidential issues. Therefore, the employee must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels of the company’s management staff, visitors and vendors.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Analyst interfaces with various internal departments and must work exceptionally well with employees of all levels. The person in this position is responsible for embracing and utilizing available technology as communication and data gathering tools in performing routine and complex duties for the financial planning team. Core responsibilities include the following:

  • Monitors cash receipts and payment obligations to assess applicable borrowings from the credit facilities
  • Responsible for the preparation of the quarterly debt covenant compliance package
  • Assists Manager in the administration of Non-Employee Directors Stock Plan and Employee Stock Incentive Plan
  • Provides insightful analyses on trended forecast of debt equity ratio
  • Updates and modifies, when appropriate, the Company’s cash flow forecasting model

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economic, Finance, and Accounting or related discipline required
  • Minimum three years of related experience in Accounting/Finance
  • Ability to read and analyze financial reports and present information and respond to questions from internal/external auditors
  • Ability to effectively communicate and establish working relationships with other departments and personnel
  • Prior experience with JD Edwards and treasury management system is highly preferred
  • High degree of confidentiality required
  • Trustworthy; strong personal integrity; emotional maturity
  • Demonstrates high level of accountability and ownership
