Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, financial operations, or a related finance role.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets, investigate differences, and explain findings.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
  • Clear communication, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with billing, receivables, reconciliations, or month-end reporting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GAAP and revenue recognition principles.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, explain variances, and provide practical recommendations.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports on revenue, receivables, cash activity, and customer program performance.
  • Review billing and related activity for accuracy; reconcile balances across reports and the general ledger.
  • Support month-end close through reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries; assist with revenue analyses.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Client Services, and Operations to understand financial impact and improve processes.

The Financial Analyst supports the financial performance of customer programs through data analysis, reporting, billing review, and account reconciliation. Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, explain variances, and provide practical recommendations. Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports on revenue, receivables, cash activity, and customer program performance. Develop clear analyses and reporting tools that help stakeholders understand results and make informed decisions.
  • Billing & Account Reconciliation Review billing and related activity for accuracy and completeness; investigate discrepancies from source data through resolution. Reconcile balances and transactions across reports, customer records, and the general ledger, maintaining clear support for conclusions. Monitor open items and work with internal partners to resolve financial questions in a timely manner.
  • Month‑End & Financial Controls Support month‑end close through account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and supporting schedules. Assist with revenue and deferred revenue analysis and reconciliations as needed. Maintain reliable documentation and follow established financial controls and approval processes.
  • Collaboration & Improvement Partner with Finance, Client Services, and Operations to understand business activity and its financial impact. Interpret relevant contract terms and business processes to support accurate billing and reporting. Identify ways to improve data quality, reporting, and the efficiency of financial processes.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Prefer candidates who can type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy. Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
