Valeris is seeking a Junior Product Analyst to bridge business needs and technology for its Innovation Pods. Reporting to a Product Director/Manager, you will translate high‑level roadmaps into detailed requirements and user stories, supporting backlog grooming and QA with stakeholders and engineering.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between stakeholders and technical teams translating roadmap priorities into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Groom and refine backlog, track initiatives, dependencies, and delivery status; participate in standups and demos.
• Support QA activities by comparing outputs to source data and acceptance criteria.

The Junior Product Analyst bridges the gap between business needs, product strategy, and technology delivery for Valeris’ Innovation Pods. Reporting to a Product Director/Manager, this role translates the Product Director’s high‑level roadmap into detailed functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering can build against. This is an entry‑level, execution-focused role: you will not set product strategy, but you will be the person who turns strategy into detail — gathering requirements from stakeholders, documenting workflows, supporting the backlog, and using AI tools to move faster than a traditional Business Analyst role would allow. This is a strong opportunity for an early‑career analyst to build a foundation in both business analysis and product ownership, working alongside experienced product, operations, and engineering leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering & Documentation Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project objectives. Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements from stakeholders, translating the Product Director’s/Manager’s roadmap priorities into detailed user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria. Create and maintain documentation of requirements, process flows, and screen mocks to support development and implementation. Serve as a day‑to‑day point of contact for clarifying requirements with engineering during build and testing.
• Backlog & Product Support Support backlog grooming and refinement under the direction of the Product Director/Manager — helping keep stories well‑defined, prioritized, and ready for engineering. Help track initiatives, dependencies, and delivery status, flagging risks or blockers early. Participate in pod operating rhythms (standups, backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives) and communicate findings clearly. Assist with shadow‑mode validation and other testing/QA activities by comparing outputs against source data and defined acceptance criteria.
• AI‑Enabled Ways of Working Use AI tools daily to accelerate requirements drafting, documentation, research synthesis, and data analysis. Build quick prototypes, mockups, or proof‑of‑concept artifacts using AI‑assisted tooling to test ideas with stakeholders before committing engineering time. Stay current on AI‑enabled and automation capabilities relevant to patient access and product work, and bring ideas back to the team.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Reporting Generate reports to communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders and management. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address operational challenges and identify process improvements. Partner with the Product Director/Manager and senior leadership to align work with product and business goals. Work with urgency and adaptability in a high‑growth environment.
• Standards & Accountabilities Utilize Valeris’ values as the driving force behind the team’s success. On time adherence to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures. Ensure all SOPs are followed with consistency. Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, you will help Valeris: Turn roadmap priorities into clear, buildable requirements that engineering can execute against the first time. Keep the backlog well‑groomed, current, and ready for sprint planning. Reduce the time between an identified problem and a documented, ready‑to‑build solution. Build a strong foundation in business analysis and product ownership, growing toward more ownership over time.

Qualifications:

• Required Experience Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience. 0–2 years of experience in business analysis, product analysis, project coordination, or a related field; relevant internships or academic projects count.
• Experience (or coursework) in requirements elicitation, documentation, and process/workflow mapping.
• Strong technical aptitude with troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word).
• Experience creating screen mocks and diagramming process flows.
• Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) daily to accelerate research, drafting, and analysis.

Preferred Experience:

• Healthcare or life sciences experience.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology, backlog management, and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Exposure to patient access, hub services, or reimbursement workflows.
• Familiarity with SQL or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Interest in growing into a Product Owner or Product Analyst role over time.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Prefer candidates who can type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy. Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
