About The Role
The role sits at the center of corporate finance and compliance: preparing financial analyses, supporting GAAP reporting, and helping maintain SOX-aligned internal controls across the business.
You will work closely with accounting managers and FP&A leadership to turn raw financial data into accurate reporting and defensible analysis — work that directly supports SEC filings, audits, and executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models, variance analyses, and monthly/quarterly reporting packages in Excel and NetSuite (or similar ERP)
- Support quarterly close: prepare reconciliations, journal entries, and flux analysis across revenue, opex, and balance sheet accounts
- Assist with SOX compliance by documenting key controls, performing control testing, and coordinating remediation of deficiencies with internal audit
- Contribute to SEC reporting deliverables, including drafting schedules and supporting workpapers for 10-Q and 10-K filings
- Analyze business performance and present findings on KPIs, unit economics, and budget-vs-actual trends to finance leadership
- Partner with accounting, FP&A, and business teams to improve reporting processes and automate recurring analyses
- Support external audit requests, ad-hoc diligence, and board reporting with clean, audit-ready documentation
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, or public-company reporting
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX controls, and SEC reporting requirements (10-Q/10-K support experience preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills; hands-on experience with an ERP (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
- Experience supporting internal or external audits with organized, high-quality workpapers
- Strong written and verbal communication — able to explain financial results to non-finance stakeholders
- Bonus: experience at a high-growth technology company, familiarity with ASC 606/ASC 842, or SQL/data-modeling skills
