Job summary

Adient is seeking a Financial Analyst at the Pulaski Facility in Kentucky to support daily accounting, reconciliations, and financial analysis. The role partners with the plant controller and finance team to ensure accurate GL accounting, cost allocations, and month-end close.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years in manufacturing finance, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with SAP or Hyperion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3+ years of accounting/finance experience; automotive/manufacturing preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office; SAP and Hyperion preferred.
• Familiarity with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Ability to analyze complex data and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support and promote a safe work environment at the plant.
• Assist Controller with GL accounting and reconciliations.
• Support the month-end close including manual journal entries and cost allocations.
• Maintain internal controls and documentation for Sarbanes Oxley; support audits.
• Monitor receivables and payables and address issues.
• Maintain fixed asset folders to track capital projects (CAR to CIP to Assets Register).
• Track program launch expenses and report to Business Unit and Plant Management.
• Support inventory controls including annual physical inventory and perpetual analysis.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist controller in monthly outlook and long-range plans.

Financial Analyst Key Responsibilities:

• Support and promote a safe work environment at the plant.


• Financial Analyst will assist the Controller with plantfinancialactivities including GL accounting and reconciliations.


• Support themonth-endclosing process including preparation of manual Journal Entriesandensuring appropriatecost allocations.


• Maintain internal controls processes and documentation related to Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Support internal and external audit activities.


• Monitor receivables and payables activity and addressissues as necessary.


• Maintainfixedasset folders to track capital projects from CAR to CIP to Assets Register.


• Trackprogramlaunch expenses and report out toBusiness Unitand Plant Management.


• Support inventory controls including annual physical inventory to ensure accurate inventory balances and perpetual analysis.


• Support and promote Continuous Improvement initiatives.


• Support controller in preparation of monthly outlook requirements as well as annual and long-range plans.


• Cost accounting functions: BOM review, cost roll-ups, inventory analysis. Annual standard material, labor, burden, overhead cost setting. Work with commercial team to ensure correct pricing.


• Perform additional related dutiesand analyses as directed by theController or Plant Manager.

Education / Requirements:

• Bachelor’sdegree in Accounting or Finance required.


• 3+Years working experience in an Accounting or Finance position, automotive/manufacturing industry preferred.


• Fluent in MS Office applications,expert in MS Excel. Experience withSAPandHyperion applications preferred.


• Familiarity with Internal Controls and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.


• Demonstrated ability to manage complex or ambiguous situations;ability to work under deadlines.


• Ability to analyze complex data and communicate findings by verbal or presentation format.
