Job summary

Adient is seeking a Financial Analyst to support plant finance, including GL, reconciliations, and month-end close. The role emphasizes accurate cost accounting, inventory analysis, and internal controls aligned with Sarbanes-Oxley.

The ideal candidate has a accounting degree with 2+ years in manufacturing finance, strong Excel, and ERP exposure (SAP/HFM). Payroll experience with ADP is a plus, and attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.

• Strong Excel skills with ability to summarize financial data for non-financial audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support and promote a safe work environment at the plant.
• Assist the Controller with plant financial activities including GL accounting and reconciliations.
• Support month-end closing with manual journal entries and cost allocations.
• Maintain internal controls and documentation for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance; support audits.
• Reconcile intercompany invoice activity with trading partners and intercompany accounting.
• Monitor receivables and payables; address issues.
• Maintain fixed asset folders tracking capital projects from CAR to CIP to Assets Register.
• Track program launch expenses and report to Business Unit and Plant Management.
• Support inventory controls including annual physical inventory and perpetual analysis.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Assist in monthly outlook and annual/long-range plan preparation.
• Cost accounting: BOM review, cost roll-ups, inventory analysis, standard cost setting, pricing with commercial team.

• The Financial Analyst will support and promote a safe work environment at the plant.
• Assist the Controller with plant financial activities including GL accounting and reconciliations.
• Support themonth-endclosing process including preparation of manual Journal Entriesandensuring appropriatecost allocations.
• Maintain internal controls processes and documentation related to Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Support internal and external audit activities.
• Reconcile intercompany invoice activity with tradingpartners andIC Accounting.
• Monitor receivables and payables activity and addressissues as necessary.

• Support inventory controls including annual physical inventory to ensure accurate inventory balances and perpetual analysis.

• Support controller in preparation of monthly outlook requirements as well as annual and long-range plans.
• Cost accounting functions: BOM review, cost roll-ups, inventory analysis. Annual standard material, labor, burden, overhead cost setting. Work with commercial team to ensure correct pricing.
• Maintain Payroll Accuracy for processing both hourly and salary. Matching Invoices with PO's

Education / Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
• 2+ years financial analyst experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Extensive use with excel, able to summarize financial data and present to non-financial audience
• Experienced with ERP systems - (SAP & HFM are a plus)
• Experienced with Payroll - ADP is a big plus
• Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail and accuracy required
• Excellent communication skills required and needs to be self-driven, team oriented, and professional
• Ability to take ownership of ambiguous situations and projects
