Job summary

Catalent's Kansas City facility seeks a Financial Analyst to monitor business health by preparing reports, managing forecasts, budgets, and headcount, and supporting compliance.

You will work with department leaders to drive process improvements and ensure accurate financial controls, including product costing and SOX responsibilities, in an onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting and/or Finance from an accredited institution.
• Minimum three years’ experience in finance and accounting.
• Experience supporting manufacturing and distribution entities and knowledge of US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly profit and loss statements for departments to monitor business health.
• Lead meetings with department heads to develop forecasts, strategy plans, and budgets.
• Participate in projects to improve efficiency and accuracy in processes.

About Site

Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses.

Position Summary

We have an opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will help monitor the health of the business by preparing financial reports and supporting strategic planning. You will work closely with departmental leaders to manage forecasts, budgets, and headcount. This position also involves supporting compliance and improving financial processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

The Role

• Prepare monthly profit and loss statements for departments to monitor business health
• Lead meetings with department heads to develop forecasts, strategy plans, and budgets, and implement leadership changes
• Participate as the finance representative in projects to improve efficiency and accuracy in processes
• Manage current and forecasted headcount throughout the year
• Track and report revenue on a weekly basis
• Review purchase orders to ensure proper coding and funding
• Support product costing and manufacturing accounting
• Provide SOX compliance support
• Create and post journal entries for month-end close
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting and/or Finance from an accredited institution
• Minimum of three years’ experience in finance and accounting
• At least one year of experience supporting manufacturing and distribution entities
• Strong familiarity with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
• Understanding and application of finance controls and SOX regulations

Preferred Skills & Background

• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as JDE
• Experience with planning and consolidation systems such as OneStream
