Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Financial Analyst with at least five years of finance and budgeting experience to analyze and forecast data for USPACOM program budgets at Camp Smith, HI.

The role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with Costpoint and Microsoft Office, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while pursuing a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of related finance/budgeting experience.
• Experience in government contracting (FFP, CPAF, T&M) preferred.
• Proficient with Costpoint, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to obtain Secret clearance (US citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Track program-level financial data and budgets across multiple projects.
• Support Month-End close and invoicing, including reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and with JTR, FAR, and DSSR.
• Lead financial reviews with program management.
• Create and maintain financial databases and generate reports.
• Monitor expenses, process invoices, and assist in budget tracking.
• Coordinate with Program Management and Contracts to meet deliverables.
• Escalate issues to financial management when needed.

Job description

Amentum is sourcing for a Financial Analyst, with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in finance and/or budgeting, to analyze and forecast data relating to program budgets in support of USPACOM at Camp Smith, HI.

You would be an excellent candidate for this position if you:

• Are a highly motivated team player who can take ownership of complex requirements;
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Have experience reviewing and approving travel expenses in accordance with the JTR.
• Have experience as a primary point of contact for internal inquiries, emails, and phone calls with strong communication skills, particularly in written communication.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Decisively multi-task and proactively track all program level financial data
• Perform duties in support of Month-End close and invoicing process, to include reconciliation of projects/accounts, review, and analysis of monthly financial data
• Ensure compliance with both internal policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with the JTR, FAR, and DSSR.
• Capable of leading a detailed financial review with program management
• Create, maintain, and update financial databases and spreadsheets, and generate various financial reports as required
• Track expenses, process invoices, and assist in budget monitoring and financial record-keeping tasks.
• Work(s) with Program Management and Contracts to ensure all timely deliverables to customer
• Accurately and effectively identify/escalate issues to financial management

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word, and Costpoint.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in finance, including government contracting experience for multiple type contracts (FFP, CPAF, T&M).
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Requires understanding of all accounting and financial transactions to include cost review, reconciliation of accounts, and adjustments.
• Team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Multi-tasker with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $135K - $165K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
