Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Program Analyst for the CTF project based in Ridgecrest, CA. The role supports budgets, expenses, and financial tracking, including invoicing, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.

You will maintain program dashboards, perform ad hoc financial analysis, and assist with subcontract invoicing and funding documents while coordinating with the PM and government customer.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 years’ experience in receptionist/office management or facility lead roles.
  • At least 6 years’ contracting, financial, and/or accounting experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders and internal teams.

Job description

Amentum is seeking a skilled professional to serve as the Program Analyst for the CTF project. The Program Analyst will support the CTF Project by conducting analysis of information affecting budgets, expenses, and other financial projects. The Program Analyst will track and submit invoices, monitor program schedules, milestones, and deliverables. Track project status across multiple efforts, identify risks, issues, and potential schedule impacts. Maintain program dashboards and reports.

The overall responsibility of this role includes processing, compiling, organizing, researching, and analyzing business information as well as tracking results, analyzing trends, and identifying variances. The role ensures accurate financial, admin, budgetary/cost control records, and reports.

The CTF project/team is a key element of the U.S. Navy’s launch test facilities Research and Development (R&D) program. This R&D program is a top priority for our nation and supports both U.S. Navy Submarine and Surface Ship weapons system capability testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain Program/Project financial controls.
  • Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, providing analytical review of information in clear/concise format as needed, as well as proactively identifying action plans to optimize performance and mitigate risk.
  • Assist other members of team in the budgeting, forecasting, pricing and product strategy processes.
  • Perform financial record keeping and accounting practices.
  • Assist in managing financial aspects of subcontracts and interwork agreements (IWA) (i.e., process invoices, complete funding documents, and monitor budgets).
  • Review financial documentation for accuracy.
  • Assist with processing Prime contract invoices.
  • Process subcontract invoices.
  • Work with the PM to resolve various project-related issues that may arise over the course of a project.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis when required by the PM or government customer.
  • Other duties required to support the PM or project.
General Administration
  • Provide ad hoc administrative, coordination, and project support as required by leadership.
  • Act as an effective gatekeeper, managing competing priorities, anticipating issues, and ensuring time is focused on high value activities.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and executive submissions with a high standard of accuracy and judgement.
  • Support team travel bookings, expense claims and conduct monthly reconciliations (as necessary).
  • Build strong relationships across the business to facilitate smooth information flow and issue resolution.
Required Qualifications
  • At least (6) years’ experience as a receptionist, office manager, office lead, or facility lead.
  • At least (6) years of contracting, financial, and/or accounting experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain Secret Clearance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated administrative experience supporting senior leaders, internal teams, and customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the broader organizational context.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Program Management or other related fields.
  • Experience in a Defense, government, engineering, or regulated professional services environment.
  • Current DoD Secret (or Higher) security clearance.
Work Environment

This position is based in Ridgecrest, CA. Expected travel is around 10-20% and is typically planned well in advance. This role involves supporting federal customers and contracting partners across the U.S.

Compensation Details

$ 85,541.00 - $100,178.00

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
