Job summary

Dematic in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the FP&A team and contribute to a well-rounded finance background for future growth opportunities.

You will assist in monthly close, quarterly/half-year reporting, budgeting, and forecasts while identifying operational improvements and automation. Strong Excel and familiarity with SAP/Oracle/BI are advantages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in large corporate or public accounting.
• Strong communication, with professional demeanor and detail orientation.
• Motivated self-starter with good judgment and problem solving.
• Proficient with Excel; Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or BI is a plus.

• Serve as key point of contact for reporting questions or new guidance.

• Provide proactive analysis and insights beyond regular duties.
• Work on special projects and improvement teams as needed.

This position will report to the Senior Manager of FP&A and provides diversified experience within the Finance organization to provide a well-rounded background in accounting and finance to leverage for future growth positions.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $66,400-$99,600 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This is What You Will do in This Role:

• Assists in monthly financial close including reporting financial results to parent company with accurate and timely delivery
• Coordinates quarterly and half-year reporting packages for the parent organization
• Serves as key point of contact as reporting questions arise or as new guidance is issued
• Participates in monthly forecasts and annual budget process including capital, shared service allocations, SG&A, and miscellaneous cost centers
• Contributes to the finance function through the identification and implementation of operational improvements; streamlined reporting, automation opportunities etc.
• Provides proactive analysis and insights above and beyond regular responsibilities
• Works on special project and improvement teams as needed

What We are Looking For:

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Accounting prefered; Bachelor of Science in Finance or Economics
• 2-4 years of relevant working experience including either in a large corporate environment or public accounting experience.
• Strong communication skills, with high level of professionalism and a detail orientated approach.
• Candidate should be a motivated self-starter, able to demonstrate good judgment and resourcefulness in decision-making and problem solving.
• Expertise with Excel and proficient with Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle or BI is an advantage.
• The ideal candidate will seek to use this role as a springboard into project controlling, operations controlling, or other finance roles within approximately 2 years.
