We are looking to hire a REMOTE Financial Analyst.
The Financial Analyst (FP&A) plays a critical role in supporting strategic, data-driven decision-making and improving financial performance across the organization. This role is responsible for delivering high-impact financial analysis, forecasts, models, and reports by combining deep financial acumen with a strong understanding of operational processes. The Analyst partners cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, IT, and Leadership to enhance efficiency, optimize cost structures, and align financial strategies with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of detailed financial forecasts and projections.
- Support the annual budgeting process by collecting data, consolidating inputs, and generating reports.
- Contribute to scenario planning to evaluate potential business outcomes and strategic decisions.
- Adjust forecasts based on real-time performance metrics and evolving business conditions.
Financial Analysis & Modeling
- Analyze actual results versus budget and prior periods; identify key variances and trends.
- Develop and refine financial models to support scenario analysis and strategic planning.
- Leverage business intelligence tools and dashboards to support decision-making and enhance reporting.
- Translate financial data into meaningful insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
Reporting & Performance Metrics
- Create and maintain dashboards and financial reports to monitor KPIs such as revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Design custom reports to support strategic initiatives and operational decisions.
- Prepare and present findings, recommendations, and progress updates to leadership teams.
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and streamline financial workflows.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing accuracy, efficiency, and scalability in planning and reporting.
- Collaborate with Operations managers to develop financial solutions that address operational challenges.
Cost Management
- Analyze cost drivers and support cost-saving initiatives across departments.
- Perform cost-benefit analyses for proposed investments or strategic changes.
- Provide insights that help align financial goals with operational priorities.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure financial activities adhere to relevant regulatory standards and internal controls.
- Support risk identification efforts and contribute to mitigation strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with stakeholders in Finance, Operations, Clinical, and IT to align plans and share insights.
- Translate complex financial concepts for non-financial audiences to foster understanding and alignment.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to convert business requests into financial and operational requirements.
Data Management & Analytics
- Maintain integrity and accuracy of financial data sources and systems.
- Support database and analytics strategy to optimize statistical efficiency and reporting quality.
- Analyze large datasets to uncover insights that inform financial and operational strategies.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience in the healthcare industry, population health, or public health preferred.
- CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional certification preferred.
- Advanced analytical skills, including experience with financial modeling, trend analysis, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in financial tools and systems (e.g., NetSuite, Power BI, Jira, Excel, SQL, Python).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.
- Experience in building dashboards and visual reports that drive decision-making.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and functional-level understanding of data pipelines is a plus.
