Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an Associate for the Card Finance Analytics team to drive analytics of acquisitions investment strategies, offer tracking, performance and profitability. You will develop expertise in Card P&L, forecast mechanisms, and business planning.

Responsibilities include using SAS/SQL, Alteryx and Tableau to forecast performance, partnering with risk, marketing and business teams, and presenting insights to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field is required.
• 2+ years of experience in an analytical / reporting role.
• Understanding of investment modeling including NPV, ROI, ROE, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• SAS/SQL experience with granular data tables to derive profitability.
• Excellent communication skills and strong organization.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Join the JPMorganChase Card Finance Analytics team to help drive key business decisions and support the growth and success of the Card business!

As an Associate in the Card Finance Analytics team, you will be responsible for analytics of acquisitions investment strategies, offer tracking, performance, and profitability to drive forward investment strategies and growth. You will develop an expertise of the Card P&L, drive offer strategies, and develop and enhance investment forecast mechanisms and the business planning process.

Job responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantitative analysis and design analytical framework utilizing SAS/SQL programming and Alteryx/Tableau to predict key account performance and profitability drivers and improve forecasting methodologies
• Be the key point of contact for cross-functional teams including risk, marketing, and business teams, and partner effectively across all aspects of the acquisition’s investment process
• Identify key areas of the business that can be improved and/or automated across acquisition forecasting functions
• Develop technology tools and processes to reduce manual work and increase accuracy of forecasts and reporting
• Leverage quantitative analysis to provide insights and recommendations for acquisitions investment strategies
• Create post implementation reviews (PIR) of new offer strategies to compare results against forecast projections
• Perform valuations of acquisitions related business cases requiring IT resources
• Present analytics and recommendations clearly and concisely to senior management

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or other related area required
• 2+ years of experience in an analytical / reporting role
• Understanding of investment modeling including NPV, ROI, ROE, etc..
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
• SAS/SQL experience – adept at working with granular data-tables to draw out customer/segment level profitability
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
• Strong organizational skills, including good judgment and decision-making abilities
• Capable of working in a dynamic environment and managing multiple projects with tight timelines

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Prior experience in Tableau/Alteryx
• Card experience preferred
