Job summary

The State of South Carolina's Financial Aid Office in Greenwood seeks a Director of Financial Aid who will provide leadership, supervision, and operational oversight to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.

The role supervises financial aid counselors, coordinates processing, analyzes reports, and supports policy implementation, with the Director as designee in their absence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and related financial aid experience required.
• Experience with federal and state financial aid regulations preferred.
• Experience supervising staff and ensuring financial aid compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, and operational oversight of the Financial Aid Office to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Serve as primary supervisor of financial aid counselors and oversee daily workflows, staff training, productivity, and student service delivery.
• Coordinate financial aid processing, monitor operational reports, and support policy development and implementation.
• Assist the Director of Financial Aid with compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives; act as the Director's designee in their absence.

Preferred qualifications include experience with federal and state financial aid regulations, student information systems such as Banner, staff supervision, and financial aid compliance.
