Job summary

Lincoln Tech in Columbia, MD is seeking an experienced financial aid professional to lead the school in the daily operation of the Financial Aid Department, ensuring accurate packaging and timely processing of Title IV funds.

The role manages FA Advisors, ensures compliance with federal/state regulations and Company policies, trains staff, handles student inquiries, and coordinates audits and deadlines, including evening/weekend events.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and at least 2 years' Title IV Administration experience, or 3+ years' Title IV Administration and management
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office systems
• Ability to manage a team of employees.

Responsibilities

• Reach out to students to assist in completion of packaging and work with campus President to ensure start requirements are in place.
• Manage the daily operations of the Financial Aid Department and implement policies to ensure accurate, timely, and ethical awarding and processing of Title IV funds.
• Perform routine audits on active and inactive student files to ensure compliance with Title IV regulations.
• Oversee processing of new and returning loan and grant applications; monitor Institutional Loan Program.
• Responsible for verification and documentation of independent status.
• Monitor maintenance of document tracking systems (Pell Grants, Federal loans, tax returns).
• Assist with coordinating the school's response to audits related to Title IV program management.

Lincoln Tech in Columbia, MD is looking for an experienced financial aid professional to lead the school in the daily operation of the Financial Aid Department to ensure all incoming students are accurately and completely packaged. Assist in planning, directing, implementing, and monitoring the timely processing of Financial Aid in accordance with federal and/or state regulations and Company policy. Lead the training, development, and evaluation of staff to ensure work is performed accurately and efficiently. Evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues, and problems, and ensure appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the student, Company, and/or regulatory agencies in compliance with policy, procedure, and legal requirements. FA Manager will also be responsible for the daily management of Financial Aid Advisors and staff. Work schedule will be determined by the Campus President to determine all campus needs requiring FA participation are covered. This may include evening and weekend events.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree and at least 2 years' experience in Title IV Administration or 3 or more years' experience in Title IV Administration and management

• Prior experience managing a team of FA Advisor strongly preferred.
